i whip my hair back & forth

i don’t think i could be any happier.. the ponytail is back! yes ladies you heard correctly, it is now cool to wear a ponytail. thank god. this means that the time it takes for me to get ready has just been cut in half. (to my friends, how happy are you!) but let me first clarify, you cant just rock the ponytail that you used to wear when you were a little girl.. you need to do it right, with some class and sophistication. i don’t want to see droopy ponytails, so make sure you use a good elastic to hold your hair in place.

first on our list of potential ponytails, is the soft and low ponytail. this is the perfect ponytail for a date, but make sure you leave it a little loose so if gives it that romantic feel.  how to: starting with a volumizing gel or texturizing spray, blow dry the hair straight and create a center part. keep volume at the crown for a little bit of a ’60s vibe, and pull the hair back into a low ponytail. wrap a piece of hair around the elastic and secure underneath with a bobby pin.

sleek&high or what i like to call the Kim Kardashian hairstyle.my girl kim, definitely knows how to wear it, and what to wear it with. in order to achieve this look we have to turn to our dear friend, the hair iron. personally, i don’t know what i would do with out one, well i do know i would look like a lion 99% of the time. for this ponytail, you want it to be as tight as possible, or look as tight as possible. so get out your gel that you haven’t used in years and apply. make sure your ponytail is high, probably high enough to see it when you look in the mirror. apply hairspray, flat iron the actual ponytail and there you go, you are set for a night out.

slick, low & parted. this adds a sporty, modernized vibe to a low ponytail. this one, super easy. all you have to do is apply texturizing spray or gel to damp hair, blow dry and then create a deep side part and pull hair into a low ponytail and finish with a shine spray.

the messy looks like i haven’t brushed my hair in years look better known as the candice look. this is a ponytail made for the lazy. made for the messy. now you have an excuse to look like you just got out of bed. first, add a sea spray or texturizing gel to damp hair and rough dry. create a side part, pull your hair into a pony tail (covering the ears a bit), tease hair at the crown for some extra volume and voila you are done. remember, the messier the better.

little miss classy. a side, over-the-shoulder ponytail. add volume at the crown and secure in the middle of the head. for those who have straight hair, braid damp hair and let it dry overnight. tease at the grown and pull it into a ponytail in zee morning. TADA!
